 Fun Fall Activities

Now that Elizabeth is in school all day, Andrew has taken over as kitchen helper.  We have a bushel of apples and have been baking all sorts of treats.  Here he is helping and snacking on the peels.

Pittsburgh's Festival of Firsts hosted the giant rubber ducky.

We are the first city in the US to have the attraction.  Here is Elizabeth's fake expression of awe.

We spent the afternoon walking along the river, admiring the fountain at Point State Park and even watched a crew tournament.

October is Fire Safety month
The firetruck made a visit to Andrew's music class.

When Elizabeth and Michael were attending the Kid's Workshop at Home Depot they also got to check out the safety vehicles.

Elizabeth and her buddy Billy at the Pitt game.

She loved the excitement, cheering and half-time show.

Andrew and Michael went for a different Pitt game.

We have been having unseasonably warm weather.  Last weekend I was baking pumpkin pies while the children were playing in water.

After preschool Andrew and I go to the zoo to have lunch and take a walk.  It is so close, we go often.  Above he is having a face-off with a rattlesnake.

He climbs everything in sight, just like his Uncle Chris.

Andrew's favorite apparatus at gymnastics is the zipline.  Here is a picture through the viewing glass.  He also loves the bars and trampoline.
