Parish Festival
Riding the little kiddie rides, Michael was the maximum height.

Elizabeth was the most daring, here she is with her hands in the air (she is located at 1 o'clock on the wheel).  Notice how much bigger the other riders are.

The children kept looking at the games, especially since their Daddy was manning the Texas Hold 'Em table.  I relented, thinking they would never win a prize, let alone something alive.  They won a goldfish.

We named him Sebastian, after our church.  He lived less than one day, but long enough for me to go out and buy fish food.

I spent a weekend in the Hocking Hills with my dear friend Matoaka.  We stayed in a B&B, attended an outdoor concert, went on a gallery crawl, dined at a culinary school restaurant, hiked and did a canopy tour.  The highlight of the trip was a three hour zip-lining course.  It was amazing, the thrill of being suspended and flying over the treetops.

This was the first weekend that James kept the children by himself.  New experiences for both of us - and everyone survived!

Night at the Zoo is one of the few times we do the rides there.  Michael had to hunch down a bit to be small enough for the log ride.

We have never seen the snakes being fed, pretty cool (and gross).
